In reading the new article Close Relationships sometimes Mask Poor Communication, I have come to perform that it does not matter how long you have known some iodine, or how often you are around them, you can still picture yourself having miscommunications with them. In the article, an exercise was done where husbands and wives found themselves misinterpreting what the other one meant even when they were saying the simplest phrase. One of the wives to her husband, its getting hot in here, as an indication that she wanted her husband to turn the crinkle conditioner either on or up, still he concept she was trying to be coy with him (Anonymous, 2011). In the article, the study informant Kenneth Savitsky, stated that strangers may take what you are saying to them verbatim, but people that are close to you might interpret what you verbalise into another meaning. I realized that I have a miscommunication problem with people I know person onlyy all of the time, and if I do not make for reliable that they understood me and understood exactly what I was saying to them, more thence likely they would do what they think I wanted them to do.



For example, both time I tell my brother to clean the kitchen, he thinks that I just mean to clean the dishes, but what I really mean is not only do I want you to clean the dishes, I want you to put the unexhausted food away, clean the counters and stove, and sweep the floor to get up food that might have fallen on the floor. However, because I did not specify to him exactly is it that I want him to do, he does what he thinks I want him to do. My problem with that is that I do not think that I should have to specify certain things if it is not a broad subject matter. So I always have to go see if he did what I told him to do, and then go in his room and tell him I meant the entire kitchen, and he gets up to do it.
